End mill holders Weldon are suitable for clamping cutting tools, especially for cutters with cylindrical shank. The high rigidity of the tool is an advantage of Weldon type toolholders; however, they are not as flexible as ER collet chucks. For example, if you have a Weldon fi 20 toolholder, it is only suitable for fi 20 shank diameter, while with an ER toolholder you only need to change the size of the ER collet.
